A South Wellington Sat'day of Arts (and Music)

Submitted by stephen clover on Friday, 16 May 2008.

It's all going on this Saturday afternoon in the southern suburbs. For a start, at Solander; works on paper in Lyall Bay is the opening of the show Near and Far: New prints by Kyla Cresswell and Inge Doesburg.

Black Swan by Inge Doesburg

If any further inducements are required to guarantee your attendance, we have been assured that bubbles will be being served between 1 - 3pm.

At approximately the same time -- 12pm til 4pm -- at SPACETHING (171 Adelaide Rd, Newtown) is the opening of the Soft Monsters exhibition, which promises to scare all those Winter lurgies away.

The opening will also feature the debut of the band PANDA BATTLE BATTLE PANDA.

There will probably be punch, but you can bring your own med'cine as well. SPACETHING is here, and there's a convenient bus-stop right outside.

And finally, as mentioned earlier, in the evening The Hasselhoff Experiment are playing a reunion show at The Adelaide (over the road and a block north of SPACETHING) with Golden Axe and Voodoo Savage.
