'tis the season!

... and if you like movies, then why not come along to Wednesday nights at the Film Archive and check out the season of films that the Wellingtonista fought over democratically chose from the Archive's collection of NZ features - all 6 movies are roughly related to, shot or set in our fair city.

7pm Wednesdays from tonight until the 5th November, tickets are $8 on the door (or $6 concession), and if you're over 18 you get a free glass of wine with your ticket purchase. Because we like wine with our movies. 'Nuff said!

  • 1 October: I’ll Make You Happy (NZ, 1998, R16 – contains sex scenes, 90 mins)
  • 8 October: Mark II (NZ, 1987, exempt, 72 mins)
  • 15 October: Kingpin (NZ, 1985, M, 89 mins)
  • 22 October: Shaker Run (NZ, 1985, PG – contains violence, 90 mins)
  • 29 October: The Irrefutable Truth About Demons (NZ, 2000, R16 – violence, offensive language, drug use and sex scenes, 90 mins)
  • 5 November: Carry Me Back (NZ, 1982, PG – coarse language, 84 mins)

All films screen on Wednesday evenings at 7pm at the Film Archive, corner Taranaki and Ghuznee Streets, Wellington
