And for the other nights, the finest in NZ bands from around the country covering a pretty diverse range of genres. There's the Americana night kicking things off, extreme neon for the Heavy Petting electro night, followed by a total mash up of rockabilly and electronics from Bang Bang Eche, and then a Wild Trash extravaganza of Wellington's own to top things off.
There'll be pole dancers, limbo competitions, a vodka slide and so much more. Chose your night. Bring your friends and come and party at the Castle that Cares!
Please Miss, what exactly is a vodka slide?
According to a media release for an earlier event, it "involves shots, ice and pashing". Oo er, missus!
To be more specific - it's an icy slide (or two, side-by-side) down which vodka is poured into a waiting punter's mouth... pashing might be optional, you'd have to check with Anna!
Pashing and vodka are two of my favourite things ever!

Out on Voodoo Rhythym, comes C.W. Stoneking - a musician who draws influence from pre-war blues, jazz, 1920s calypso, storytelling, folklore, and personal experience to produce his original songs. Accompanied with his trusty steel-bodied dobro guitar and tenor banjo, or with his brass band the 'Primitive Horn Orchestra', Stoneking's songs range in style from lonesome field holler blues, to cheeky hokum duets, to full blown 'jungle jazz' epics. A huge night with plenty'o'fun 'n' games, yes GAMES!!!! Hi I'm Tourettes, I like rapping, poetry and playing the drums. I write about politics, love and diseases. I'm in a crew called Breakin wreckwordz. We're pretty good. Here's a list of things I've done that make my mum proud * Won the national emcee battle title and came second in Australasia * Toured New Zealand, Australia, Europe, England and Japan * Won heaps of poetry slams * Supported international bands like Dizzie rascal, Atmosphere and Sage Francis * Had writing published in various publications including Landfall * Got heaps of ugly tattoos At the moment I'm finishing my new album "Who said you can't dance to misery" in an effort to get the voices out of my head and into yours. Wellington's own DISASTERADIO is an attempt at creating electronic music that, unlike most popular dance music, is evocative and sudden while embodying a backdrop of new wave / synthpop pastiche, tongue-in-cheek modernism and themes of camp science.
