Posted by Hadyn on Sunday, 28 Jun 2009

Ladies and Gentlemen, for your Sunday viewing pleasure here is local musician and comedian Robbie Ellis' Manners Mall Emo Song (as performed at Raw Meat Mondays at the Fringe Bar this week)

I feel lucky to live in a city that can spawn such a song.

Surely if we could only get Kerry to see this then she would change her mind!

Well, I guess since the council team driving the demolition of Manners Mall have been justifying it by claiming that pedestrian malls are "failed experiements" we may as well get ready to rip up Cuba Mall, as well.

This video says more about Wellington and New Zealanders than http://www.kiwianarama.co.nz ever could. Both make me bark with laughter. Abrakebabra is a great place, albeit with dubious spelling.

Notwithstanding the controversy over the Manners Mall, that soung is number one with a bullet at the City Council this afternoon. Outstanding.

Great song!!! I do feel for Manners Mall but hope that the city can get an even better space through an extreme makeover of lower Cuba Street ... I'm holding judgement until I see that!

Please do one about the National Government.

Bloody marvellous!!
